Hi. I’m Kylie Brown, a professional genealogist specialising in researching family connections between the United Kingdom and Australia.
For over thirty years, I’ve been researching my own family history, tracing roots that originate in Australia and extend back through free settlers and convicts to various parts of the United Kingdom. This experience allows me to competently undertake research across both the UK and Australia.
I approach every project with care, integrity and a love for uncovering the stories behind the names.
For more than 25 years, I have carried out resesarch for family, friends, and paid clients – often verifying stories and discovering ancestors who were previously unknown.
In addition to decades of practical experience, I haven completed the Certificate in Genealogy Research through the Society of Australian Genealogists. I regularly attend courses offered by the Society of Genealogists and the IHGS, and those focussing on palaeography. I am a student at the Institute of Genealogical and Heraldic Studies (IHGS), a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ZB368077).
I’m passionate about helping families uncover their unique histories and preserve their stories for future generations. Whether you’re just starting your genealogical journey or need expert help to break through brick walls in your research, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
Feel free to get in contact – I’d love to help you discover the stories waiting to be uncovered in your family history.
