When Kylie said she could easily research my family history, I was intrigued. Mainly because on my maternal side, we knew a huge amount about the family, we had first hand recollection of events by my Grandmother who lived to be over 100 years old, and she lived locally, her whole life, so relatives were fairly well known to us. Kylie easily joined the dots between what we knew, or what we thought we knew, and what was historical fact. My father was born in India, and his Mother grew up there, her Stepfather was reportedly the Bishop of Bombay! Actually, Kylie advised, he was the Arch Deacon of Bombay! My late Father in Law came to the UK from Saint Lucia as a small boy, Kylie soon found his parents arriving in London, and was able to uncover a huge amount of informaiton, even though my wife really knew very little about the family history. With attention to detail, and the ability to soak up the historical context of what she discovers, her determination to uncover the historical facts behind family history and her presentation of those discoveries are exceptional.
